Boutique hotel proposed in Weston Super Mare

Developers have proposed a new boutique hotel by the sea in Weston Super Mare.

A planning application was submitted to North Somerset Council just before Christmas for a 43 bedroom hotel along with residential apartments, beach huts, shops and a bar.

The mixed use development would replace the landmark Royal Pier Hotel which has been derelict since a bad fire in 2010. The Victorian hotel, which had major refurbishment in 1984, was also damaged in a blaze in 2009.

Surrey based developers, CNM Estates, are the developers behind the application with the design work undertaken by Conrad & Partners of Brighton.
