LONDON got a new hotel today – and it arrived on the river Thames.

The luxury superyacht-hotel arrived in the capital early this afternoon and entered the Royal Docks in East London where she will be moored next to the ExCeL centre.

Sunborn London, as the hotel will be known, opens later this month and will be a four-star hotel with 138 guest rooms across five floors of the yacht.

A sister hotel opened in Gibraltar in March 2014 and another is also planned in Barcelona.

80-staff have been recruited for the 120-metre yacht which is also close to City Airport and a cable car ride away from the O2.

The hotel will be operated by ISS. ISS Director of Hotels, Karen Thomson, comments “At ISS, we see this as a very exciting opportunity and we look forward to providing our guests with a totally unique and lasting experience.”
