21 bedroom country house hotel in Dumfriesshire on the market

A 21 BEDROOM country mansion hotel has come to market in Dumfriesshire, Scotland.

Offers over £1.25 million are invited for the Moffat House Hotel in the historic town of Moffat.

The hotel, built as a private house in the 18th century, is in two acres of grounds and comes with a two bedroom cottage located on the site.

Steven Fyfe, associate director in the hotels team at Savills, comments: “After 10 years of ownership this is a genuine retirement sale and provides an opportunity to acquire a successful business and attractive period property at a time when Scotland’s hotels and tourism industry continues to prosper.”

Moffat House was designed by notable Scottish architect John Adam who also designed Edinburgh City Chambers.

The purchaser will be required to comply with the relevant TUPE legislation in respect of present employees.
