North Wales boutique hotel acquired by Manchester leisure firm

A 14-Bedroom boutique hotel in North Wales has been sold to Manchester-based firm Elle R.

Stunning Soughton Hall Hotel near Mold in Flintshire had been marketed prior to the sale with a guide price of £3million.

The Grade-II listed property dates back to the mid-18th century and was originally built as a Bishop’s Palace.

New owners Elle R already run a number of bars and restaurants in Manchester as well as the Castlefield Rooms event space.

James Ramsbottom, managing director of Elle R Leisure, said: “This is a very exciting acquisition and adds another hotel to our growing portfolio to serve both the local market and also attract customers from Cheshire, Liverpool and Manchester.
